Tseminyu students receive education counseling

Tseminyu, October 29 (MExN): Tseminyu Students’ Union along with Young Indians (Yi) Nagaland Chapter and three colleges – Tetso College, Unity College and Model Christian College – organized a free one-day education counseling for students of Tseminyu on October 28.  

Students of Baptist Higher Secondary School, Assembly of God School, and Government Higher Secondary School Tseminyu attended the session which was held at Baptist Higher Secondary School, Tseminyu.  

The resource persons were Orenthung Ovung – Chair Yi, Ben Imchen – CEO Elysium Tech, Dr. Hewasa Lorin – Vice Principal, Tetso College, and Kvulo Lorin – Co-chair Yi. The counseling session included an interactive session to help the students decide the stream they want to pursue, timings, scholarship opportunities and job prospects for different streams, informed a press release received here.  

It focused on the students’ own personal histories and aimed at providing them direction to figure out what they want in their education, career, and their life, it added. Information was also provided on differentiating bogus institutes and preparations needed to pursue studies beyond Nagaland and outside of India and a few scholarship details and websites where they may get more information.  

This was a first for institutes of Kohima and Dimapur organizing such a session in Tseminyu.
