Tseminyu Union appeals for justice in CS appointment

Tseminyu, November 6 (MExN): The Tseminyu Union on Friday expressed displeasure at the attitude of the State Government on the issue of posting of Chief Secretary Nagaland.

It alleged that R B Thong the senior most IAS cadre in Nagaland was “once again deprived and humiliated” after being “superseded by his junior as the Chief Secretary of Nagaland.”

“…Such a discriminatory rule even in the highest bureaucratic level is a clear indication of nepotism and violation of rules which is unfounded and undemocratic,” it said.

In a statement appended by its President H Kegwalo Tep, the Tseminyu Union appealed the government to re-think its decision and “deliver justice without looking at the background of the person.”

“R B Thong being a member of the Rengma Community, the Union felt that it is an insult to Rengmas in general and in particular to R B Thong.”

The Union appealed for justice and stated that it would “always stand firm for justice and will raise its voice loud and clear against any injustice.”
