Tsg DC urges stakeholders to strive for peace, tranquility

Tuensang, April 8 (MExN): Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant on April 8. 

According to a DIPR report, on removal of AFSPA from Tuensang district, the DC encouraged all the stakeholders to strive for peace and tranquility within the district so that no future AFSPA related issues arise in the district. 

The members of the forum discussed on setting up of Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) at Longkhim HQ. MLA, Muthingnyuba Sangtam who also attended the meeting highlighted on the importance and necessity to have a SDPDB. The house agreed and decided to forward to the concerned for approval.

The proposal for up gradation of EAC Chare to SDO (C) HQ was discussed and decided to forward to the higher ups for further action. CKS, President Nungsanglemba Chang supported the agenda and briefed on the importance of upgrading the EAC from logistics and strategic point of view.   

The registration of Alumni Association Sao Chang College proposal was considered and forwarded for consideration. The issue of dumping site of Tuensang was discussed. Based on report of PHED, water quality was checked downstream and recommended for relocating and sought the assistance of the government and intervention of the elected members. 

The District Forest Department presented its activities on Japanese International Co-Operative Agency (JICA), Nagaland Forest Management Project, its functions, targets and objectives.
