Tuensang, June 8 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, who is also the chairman of the district's Sports Council informed that Tuensang district is hosting the Inter–district Badminton Open Championship 2011 scheduled July 19 to 22. In this connection, the DC has constituted committees. For preparations leading up to the tournament, repairs and renovation of Indoor Stadium and Youth Hall, an amount of Rs.10 lakh is earmarked from the LADP 2011–12 under Common Pool schemes. In addition to the targeted amount, Department – wise Contribution were also fixed and announced in the meeting. He appealed to all officers and organizing committees to extend their co-operation for the success of the tournament. DSO (Statistical), president of TDBA, R. Sanso, in a briefing informed that a meeting of all the respective committees is called on June 15 at 3:00 pm in the SP's Office.
