Kiphire, January 18 (MExN): The Tsüngkamnyo cum Mini Hornbill Festival which began on January 15 at Pungro, Kiphire concluded on January 17 with Advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, S Keoshu Yimkhiung as the Guest of Honour.
As per the DIPR report, Yimkhiung in his speech said that festive is a time where young ones learn about their traditions, culture and history of forefathers and it is also a time where they learn to love and identify who they really are. He encouraged the gathering not to forget one’s own culture and tradition. He emphasized that the realisation of the dream set forth by the pioneers was within reach if the community remained united and determined.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Lomalz and Limyanmong, while the welcome address was delivered by Sussana, President YWO. Short speeches were also delivered by L Ngon, President KTC and James Khulu, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro.
