
Tsuru Restaurant held an exclusive pre-launch event today at its new location in Zakiesato building, near DDSC Stadium, Lahorijan. The gathering was highlighted by the presence of distinguished guests, including S. Supongmeren Jamir, Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, who attended as the Chief Guest. The event was also blessed by a prayer led by Rev Wati Kichu of the Town Fellowship.

Tsuru, positioned in the heart of Dimapur, is set to offer a genuine taste of Japanese cuisine. The restaurant’s interior features traditional Japanese décor, creating a tranquil setting for diners to enjoy freshly prepared sushi, sashimi, ramen, and other delicacies, with ingredients sourced directly from Japan and Norway.
Founder Imnajungla Jamir, who brings 12 years of experience in Japanese cuisine and a decade of collaboration with renowned Japanese chefs abroad, expressed her vision: “My motive to open this Japanese restaurant here in Dimapur is because I want my people to know about Japanese food and culture.”
Chef Ashihe, who leads the kitchen, boasts 11 years of experience in Japanese cuisine across Qatar, Maldives, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. His expertise promises that each dish at Tsuru will be a celebration of taste and tradition.
Tsuru is scheduled to open to the public soon, offering a unique dining experience that blends the elegance of Japanese culture with top-tier culinary excellence.
