TUCT seeks resignation of MLA

Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): The Tribal Union Chumukedima Town (TUCT) has collectively resolved to appeal for immediate resignation of MLA from Ghaspani I on “moral ground,” according to a press release from TUCT President, Neisalie Losou and General Secretary, Mhathung Odyuo.

The union through the press release questioned the “sheer silence of our elected representative when all the hues and cries were taking place in its own constituency.”

The TUCT, it added, has “witnessed a dismaying role of our father figure who instead of listening to the people’s woes has rather kept on deaf ears thus far.”

Reaffirming to stand by the people’s demand, it sought an immediate resignation of the constituency’s MLA “for the betterment of his future.”

Meanwhile, the union appealed to the general public of Chumukedima to extend “fullest possible cooperation with positive endurance until the common cause is realized and achieved.” It also asked the bandh volunteers to ensure convenience in movement, especially for the students appearing exams.
