TUENSANG, JUNE 26 (MExN): The Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 has asked all the commercial establishments under Tuensang town, to voluntarily close down on June 27 as a precautionary measure and also as a measure to spread awareness on safe practices such as wearing of masks, gloves, social distancing etc.
However basic essential services, agri related matters, pharmacies, petrol pumps may remain open.
A DIPR report informed that the DTF held a meeting on June 26 and deliberated on acquiring more confirmatory cartridges for TrueNat machines. It was also reported that more confirmatory cartridges will be arriving to the district shortly.
The house also deliberated on setting up of a COVID-19 Care Centre to house asymptomatic COVID-19 positive cases in case of surge in the number of positive cases in the district. The meeting also reviewed the activities of the DTF and issues related to discharging of returnees who have been tested negative for COVID- 19 and completed mandatory quarantine period.
