TUENSANG, NOVEMBER 8 (MExN): The Tuensang District Volleyball Association (TDVA) was formed on November 6 under the theme ‘Strive and Achieve.’
Yimlong Zanchu Chang, the newly appointed President of TDVA highlighted on the importance of the existence of such an association and said that a lot of enthusiastic volleyball players are being suppressed of their talent due to the lack of such platforms and avenues. He expressed optimism that the association will help revive and promote the sport at different levels.
He further encouraged the officials to work in order to achieve the common goal, irrespective of one’s bestowed designation.
The thanksgiving programme following the formation of the association was chaired by Kiukhum, Vice President, TDVA and invocation prayer was offered by Yongri Sangtam, Treasurer, TDVA. This was followed by declaration of the office bearers. The programme ended with a mass prayer.
The team will be led by President Yimlong Zanchu Chang, Vice President Kiukhum Yimkhiung, General Secretary Yaksokiu Yimkhiung, Assistant Secretary Pongom Khiamniungan, Finance Secretary Sentiba Sangtam, Assistant Finance S Pishe Khaimniungan, Press and Information Secretary Keyoungkhum K Yimkhiung, Property Secretary Chibayenba Chang, and Treasurer Youngri sangtam.
Elemmomko Chang and M Chullen Chang have been appointed as coaches while the Advisory Board consists of P Beshang Chang, Yangdipi Sangtam, R Rithrong Yimkhiung, and Neulo.
