Tuensang, December 16 (DIPR): The Tuensang District Planning & Development Board meeting cum officers’ picnic, hosted by Parliamentary Secretary & Chairman, Tuensang DPDB, S. Heno, was held on December 12 at Hoyong River, 19 Kms away from Tuensang. After reviewing the minutes of the last meeting the board discussed matters regarding permission sought by Baptist Church, Kuther Village for opening up of private primary school and after thorough deliberation decided to entrust DIS, Tuensang for proper verification and to report in the next DPDB meeting.
The board also discussed the posting of one Company NAP at Longkhim H.Q and upgrading of Chare, EAC HQ. to that of SDO (Civil) HQ. The Board approved the proposal and resolved to recommend to the concerned department for necessary action. With regard to opening of New Bazaar Bank Branch at Tuensang H.Q, the Board decided to forward the matter to the higher authorities for necessary action. The Board also constituted a rule committee to entrust one of the departments to look after the Public Ground, Tuensang.
District Veterinary Officer, Tuensang highlighted about awareness of bird flu while action plan taken by Medical Department was presented by Dy. CMO, Tuensang. Earlier the District Planning Officer read out the greeting message of Parliamentary Secretary & Chairman Tuensang DPDB in the house. Welcome address and vote of thanks was delivered by SDO (C) Noksenkum and Abhishek Prakash, IAS respectively. ADC Noklak, Ngushethonyu chaired the meeting.
