Tuensang, July 30 (MExN): The Tuensang District Task Force on COVID- 19 meeting held on July 28 decided to monitor inter-district movement of vehicles/people into Tuensang District in view of potential local/community transmission of COVID-19. 

The following Standard Operating Procedures for inter-district travel are notified with immediate effect: 

•    All travels from/to Tuensang district which are not of urgent nature are restricted until further notice. 

•    Any unavoidable travels which are of urgent nature such as medical emergencies, funerals etc shall be undertaken only with the prior approval of the Tuensang District Task Force on COVID-19. 

•    For Government officials travelling to Tuensang district on duty, the HoDs concerned are to inform the District Task Force 24 hours prior to undertaking any such travels. 

•    All travels (apart from Government servants on duty) to Tuensang District will be allowed to enter the District only on the production of valid travel permit issued by competent authority of the origin district. 

•    All details of the travelers are to be entered at the inter-district check gate before entering the District. 

•    All Government servants/agencies from outside the State entering the District on duty will be allowed to proceed on duty only after mandatory COVID-I9 testing and on negative result for COVID-19. 

•    All travelers to the District (apart from Government servants on duty) will be under mandatory home quarantine for 14 days.
