Tuensang: NST Colony renamed as NST Ward

Tuensang, November 6 (MExN): NST Colony in Tuensang town will now be officially called NST Ward. This declaration was made by the Tuensang Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant at a programme held at Community Hall, NST Ward on November 6. 

DC Tuensang said that, “This is a symbol of development, and there is a sense of responsibility in it.” He encouraged the newly declared ward that with the development and responsibility, there must be hard work and challenged the ward to make it as the cleanest ward in the town and also to achieve 100% COVID vaccination.

“The doors of my office and house are always open if you need any help from my side and let’s cooperate with one another to make our district better,” he added.

Speaking about the earlier ‘struggles’ of the then sector, President of NST Ward, H Sadang Chang, who is in his 13th year as the president in his welcome speech narrated that “it was a long due dream of the people.”

Expressing gratitude to the District Administration, especially the Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and MLA of Tuensang Sadar-I Toyang Changkong, he thanked all the well-wishers who contributed financially and physically to the ward. He mentioned special gratitude to neighbouring sectors, Haulim Choba (SDO), SY Sangle (RTO), Y Changsang, Tia Meren (ADC) and K Aliba Sangtam, former member TTC.

Short speeches were delivered by President of All Ward Union Tuensang, President of Tuensang Village Citizen, Chairman of Chongpho Village Council and K Aliba Sangtam, Advisor NST Ward.

The programme was chaired by Imnanuksung Ao, General Secretary, NST Ward while invocation was spoken by Pastor, Tenyimi Baptist Church, Tuensang and A. Bin, GB NST delivered the vote of thanks.
