Wokha, August 8 (MExN): Two persons were held with 240 grams of suspected Brown Sugar/Sun Flower during a Mobile Vehicle Checking Post (MVCP) conducted at Santsupen area of National Highway-61 recently.
A DPRO Wokha report quoting the Women Police Officer In-Charge (OC) of R Lochumbeni Kikon informed that the alleged illegal drugs - 46 Grams of Sunflower and 194 grams of suspected Brown Sugar, were seized on further investigation of a Tata Sumo intercepted during the MVCP.
The occupants of the vehicle, identified as Nchumthung Tungoe of Wokha Village, presently a resident of GHSS colony Wokha town and Yanrenthung Kikon of Koio Village, were held and charged with possession of the illegal drugs, it said.
A case was registered at Women PS Wokha C/NO.009/2021 Under Section 21 (b) NDPS Act R/W 34 IPC and the duo remanded custody for further investigation, it added.
