SHILLONG, August 16 (NNN): Two occupants of a mini truck were injured when the vehicle which was proceeding towards Nongpoh from Shillong overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle making a turn. The mishap happened at Lad Umsaw under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District on August 16 at around 1:00 pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Umsning helped in evacuating Wickey Lyngkhoi (19) and John Paul Marwein (24) to the Shillong Civil Hospital. On August 15, one pedestrian identified as Bahadur Chetri (50) was injured after he was hit by a motorbike while walking on the side of the road at Mawiong, Shillong. In another road accident, occupants of a TATA Magic were injured when the vehicle drove off the road after a technical snag near the PWD office at Mahendraganj under Zikzak Block, South West Garo Hills District. The incident happened around 7:30 am on August 16 when the passenger vehicle was travelling towards Mankachar.
