
Nagaon, June 25 (MExN): UCO Bank hosted a Resource, MSME, Retail, and Agriculture Carnival Camp at Hotel Rishiraj 5 in Nagaon city on Monday, aiming to provide financial assistance to businesses and farmers.
Shashi Kant Kumar, General Manager (Head Office, Kolkata), graced the event as the chief guest. The camp saw participation from branch managers of Nagaon and nearby regions, along with existing and prospective customers. The initiative seeks to offer tailored loans to eligible customers to boost business expansion and employment generation, contributing to regional and national economic growth.
Zonal Manager Narendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the programme, highlighting UCO Bank’s commitment to customer service in the Jorhat Zone. He announced that under the ongoing campaign for FY 2025-26, the zone has already sanctioned loans exceeding Rs 138 crore to 1,867 beneficiaries.
Amit Kumar, MSME Head of Jorhat Zone, elaborated on the bank’s latest loan schemes, including UCO Contractor, UCO Trader, UCO Abhinandan, UCO GST Smart Finance, UCO Sanjeevani, UCO MSME Yuva Shakti, and UCO Nari Samman.
In his address, General Manager Shashi Kant Kumar emphasized UCO Bank’s strong financial performance in FY 2024-25, with deposits surpassing Rs 2.93 lakh crore, advances over Rs 2.19 lakh crore, and total business crossing Rs 5.13 lakh crore. He assured customers of competitive interest rates and urged timely repayment to maintain credit scores.
The bank is currently conducting similar carnivals nationwide, focusing on digital banking accessibility and customer support through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
During the event, sanction letters were distributed to beneficiaries under the MSME, Retail, and Agriculture schemes. Customer feedback was also collected to enhance banking services.
