UDISE/Aadhaar format for 2012-13 ready, schools alerted

Kohima, November 18 (MExN): In pursuance of State Mission Director, State Mission Authority SSA, Kohima Deputy Commissioner W. Honje Konyak, also Chairman DMA, SSA Kohima notified all categories of schools and colleges i.e. primary, upper primary, secondary and higher secondary schools (Class 1-12) that the UDISE and Aadhaar formats for the year 2012-13 are ready.

As per the MHRD’s notification, from this academic year 2012-13, the school education statistics presently collected through DISE and SEMIS for elementary and secondary sectors respectively have been merged /unified as U-DISE in order to avoid duplicity of efforts and to ensure that only one Data Capture Format (DCF) and software is used for collection of information for the entire school education sector across the State.

The unified DISE format developed by NUEPA, New Delhi was received late and has been modified as per the State requirement resulting in delay.

Also, as per GoI’s direction, Aadhaar 2012-13 child-wise DCF is mandatory for all the UTs/ States and has to be collected along with the UDISE 2012-13.

A notification received here stated that this DCF will not replace the existing summary tables being collected under DISE. This is an additional format to be collected from all the schools. Information collected on this format would be used as basis for data collection next year and would help in developing a child-wise database for the State.

This annual exercise of collection of DISE information as on September 30 every year will be mandatory to be collected from both government, private and centrally run schools.

In this connection, UDISE 2012-13 as on September 30 and Aadhaar Child-wise friendly DCF 2012-13 formats are ready which needs to be filled-up by the concerned and submitted to respective EBRC which will verify the data in the DCF before submitting to the district for further necessary action.

In this, all the concerned have been informed and directed to cooperate and extend all necessary help by filling up the said formats correctly and submit at the stipulated time. Submission date to respective EBRC is November 30.
