Condolence service of Maj. Vareithing Honreinao was held at TNL conference hall, Ukhrul.
Ukhrul | July 27 : Thousands of people in Ukhrul, Manipur, today bid adieu to an NSCN/ GPRN leader, “major” Vareithing Hongreinao who breathed his last on July 26 in Chandel district following a cardiac arrest.
Thousands of people from all walks of life attended a condolence service to pay tributes to the departed NSCN cadre. The condolence service was organized by the Tangkhul Naga frontal organizations led by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) at the TNL conference hall today.
Sources said Vareithing was born on March 16, 1972 and joined the NSCN on June 30, 1998. He was also a president of the Dimapur Students’ Union at one time and president of the Ukhrul Students’ Union before he joined the organization.
Condolence messages from various NSCN/ GPRN units and battalions were read as well as those from Tangkhul civil organizations.
