UNDSP not dissolved; to field candidates this election

Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): Pledging its support to the Indo-Naga political talks for honourable and acceptable solution for the “interest of Nagas”, a rejoinder from the United Naga Democratic Socialist Party (UNDSP) has said that the party “will set up party candidates in the coming State Assembly election with an aim for unity, brotherhood, peace and prosperity with value based politics, to achieve self reliance, solve unemployment in the state and for peaceful coexistence among all citizens in the state.” This was stated in a rejoinder from UNDSP’s Vice President Wati Jamir and General Secretary (Admin) Robert Y. Kikon.

Referring to the news published in local dailies that “UNDSP dissolves and joins BJP” on January 12, UNDSP’s rejoinder has clarified that the said statement is incorrect.

“The state UNDSP is not dissolved but only T.A. Ngullie, Advisor and former minister, along with some of his supporters in the party from Wokha District and parent body resigned from the party and joined BJP,” stated the UNDSP, a party they say continues to exist.
