
DIMAPUR, MAY 10 (MExN): The dead body of an unidentified baby girl was found in a highly decomposed state near Burma Camp (Narcol turning point), Dimapur, on May 9 at around 7:00 PM. The information was received through a telephonic report from the East Police Station.
A press note issued by Dy Commissioner of Police and PRO informed that on receipt of the information, the police team immediately reached the spot and discovered the body, which was wrapped in a red woolen cloth, with a portion of the head visible near the fishery pond, Bangjak Phom colony.
Inquest proceedings were carried out in the presence of witnesses, and after completing all legal formalities, the body was sent to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification. The deceased was found wearing an off-white vest with a black thread tied around the waist.
