Union Cabinet nod for KVS school in Rangapahar

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Union Cabinet has approved the transfer of 8.87 acres of Defence Land to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for Construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Rangapahar in Rangapahar Military Station, Nagaland. The Cabinet accorded its approval in the Cabinet meeting held in New Delhi on July 30, informed a press note issued by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER). Bijoy Krishna Handique, Minister DONER has stated that the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Rangapahar has been functioning in temporary buildings ever since it’s opening in the year 1992. The students of the school are wards of Defence Personnel based in the Rangapahar Military Station located on the outskirts of Dimapur. Handique said that the move would help in providing basic infrastructure and other facilities to the students and would reduce the inconvenience due to the temporary nature of the present set up.
