Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): Unity College and Heritage Publishing House (HPH) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on March 2 to collaborate for a period of three years under Academic Resources for Unity College (ARUC). The agreement was signed by R.K. Thakur, Vice Principal of Unity College and Dr. Lanusangla, Publisher, Heritage Publishing House.
On the same day, IQAC Research Cell of Unity College in collaboration with Heritage Publishing House initiated the first Unity Lecture Series as empowered by the MoA. This talk was organised by the Departments of History and Political Science. The resource person was Dr. Salikyu Sangtam, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, St. Joseph University, Nagaland, who spoke on “The Re-evaluation of the Existing Hill Narrative.”
The resource person dissected a series of approaches on the very question of Naga Identity and understanding self contextual to changing political paradigms and social landscapes. The event was chaired by Dr. Tabassum Khan, Member of IQAC and a vote of thanks was proposed by Thungbeni Humtsoe, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Unity College.
