Chümoukedima, January 18 (MExN): Walford CC and Deccan Strikers picked up comfortable wins today at the 7th Unity Cup Cricket Tournament organized by the Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima Youth Sports Ministry. Walford posted 205 runs in its match against Royal CC riding on a 54-run knock from Prince. He returned to claim 1 wicket and was declared the Player of the Match.
In the other game, Deccan Strikers defeated Jackals United by 37 runs. Put in to bat first, the Strikers posted 164 in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Tohoto and Tokumeren scored 52 and 39 runs, respectively.
Defending the total, they bowled out the Jackals for 127 runs in the 19th over. Monu of Jackals made 44.
Tokumeren of Deccan strikers was adjudged the Player of the Match for his knock of 39 runs and also claiming 4 wickets.
