Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): The Student Christian Movement of India, ICFAI University, Nagaland observed universal day of prayer for students on the theme ‘Young people building peace and overcoming violence’ on February 4, 2019 with Akato Zhimomi, Associate Pastor Youth, Naga United Sumi Baptist Church as the speaker. A press note stated here that the programme was led by President, SCMI, ICFAI University, invocation and introductory note by Tolly T Yeptho, Programme Secretary North East Zone II. A short drama was also presented by SCMI members based on the theme.
The speaker shared the word of God from a Bible verse Isaiah 52:7. He encouraged the believers to be a channel of God's peace and help build the world a better place and prevent any act of violence. He also encouraged the students by saying that alone we can make a little difference but when we come together we can make a big difference for the society. After his sharing, he led the congregation with prayer for students.
