USA Chin wrestling team today arrived the state capital Kohima to take part in the upcoming Vuto Hyundai presents NagaWrestleMania-9 (King of The Ring Series 2022) organised by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) at Hockey Ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima from October 20 to 22.

Three wrestlers from USA includes; Biak Hmun Sang (Current Chin Heavyweight Champion, popularly known for defeating former Champion Rung Lian Ceu), Van Ceu Hmung (Current Chin Lightweight Champion) and Uk Lian Thang (Former Chin Heavyweight Champion).

Talking to media persons at de Oriental Grand Kohima, Biak Hmun Sang said that Chin wrestling is 95% similar to that of Naga wrestling style. “For me, nothing is new and I am prepared and ready for the competition,” he said.

He also requested the wrestling fans to come and witness his match including other two wrestlers from USA.

All the top three positions holders of the last King of The Ring Championship 2021, Menuosetuo Yiese, Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii and Kezhavizo Thevo and a host of old and new title contenders will be part of the competition.

3E Nagaland informed that the final weigh-in ceremony will be held on October 18 at 12:00 Noon at the venue, after which the exact number of wrestlers will be determined for the two categories, Lightweight and Heavyweight.

The final weigh-in ceremony will include unveiling of the three championship belts that will be up for grabs - Lightweight, Heavyweight and King of The Ring Championship titles.

Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister, Associate Vice President of Athletics Federation of India & Secretary General Nagaland Olympic Association will grace the inaugural session as chief guest at 10:00 am on October 20.

On day 2 & 3, matches will start at 12:00 noon.

The event will be streamed live on pay-per-view at 3enagaland.in for wrestling fans to watch from anywhere around the world.
For wrestling fans from Kohima and nearby places, venue tickets will be available on the event days.

There will be only one category of venue ticket at Rs 300 (chair). As for PPV, tickets will be Rs 300 per day or Rs 750 for three days. Taxi service will be available between High School Junction and Indira Gandhi Stadium.
