DIMAPUR: The United Sangtam Likhum Bumji (USLB) has issued a notification barring Thrinimong Sangtam, the then President USLB from the Sangtam society for a period of five years for violation of USLB Executive Council Resolution no 2 of April 2, 2005.
The notification signed by Hotingse Sangtam, Chairman Action Committee, USLB (Longkhim-Chare) and Throngathe Sangtam, Chairman, Action Committee (Kiphire District) directed that all concerned should have no correspondence relating to the USLB with him and all matter be addressed to Sentiba Sangtam, Acting President USLB, camp Angangba village, Longkhim, Tuensang.
The notification also directed the then President Thrinimong that he had no right to keep properties of the USLB in his custody any longer.
Thrinimong has been directed to handover all the USLB properties of the USLB to the treasurer L Tinglise, Tuensang on or before September 20 failing which the USLB will take stern action and that no blame should be created against the apex body of the USLB in any manner under any circumstances.
The notification also clarified that Thrinimong functioning as President USLB after April 2, 2005 is void and alleged that he was doing it in his interest.
The USLB statement also informed that Thrinimong was removed from the Presidentship of the USLB in its executive council meeting held on June 15.
