Dimapur, April 5 (MExN): A students’ organization from Kiphire has sought revamping the Education department of the state considering the anomalies in various functioning of the
department.
The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has listed out some of the anomalies basing on which the organization says the department should be
revamped.
The USSC issued a note today, appended by its president Likhumba Y. Some of the disturbing issues the organization pointed out included vacancies in “ministerial resultant vacancies.”
The organization said vacancies from those who retired on October 31, 2009 remain vacant and even their promotion orders were yet to be issued by then.
Similar anomaly the USSC mentioned was that of a recent interview held for the post of teachers.
The said vacancies from retired teachers were not filled up and the post of teachers ‘was not fully advertised.’ The note did not give details.
The USSC also called “untimely release of salary” and “non-posting of AGM & HM in GHS” as ‘setbacks.’
