V Institute of Fashion Designing Cutting & Tailoring holds 1st Annual Fashion show

The V Institute of Fashion Designing Cutting and Tailoring (VIFDCT) held its 1st Annual Fashion cum Graduation Day at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre Chümoukedima on March 19.

Gracing the occasion, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, President National People’s party (NPP) Nagaland state appreciated the proprietor of the institute Vilhousa (Asa) Movi for giving back to the society through his institute and further congratulated the students for successfully completing their respective courses.

He said that one of the unique features of the Nagas is the gift of creativity but stressed that they need to adapt the virtue of perseverance, consistency and not giving up too easily after one failed attempt, a press release from the institute informed. 

Meanwhile, students divided into three teams competed for the best creativity and best construction and they were judged by Rosou Rhi, President Nagaland Designers Association; Vikuonuo Sachu, former Miss Nagaland; and Sentitola Ao, a fashion designer and proprietor of Centy J were.

Kilentola Jamir, a holistic counsellor by profession, anchored the show, directed and choreographed by Ravolu Chuzo and Sanjeev Tamang respectively.  

NK Naga, the 1st Naga Bollywood playback singer; Jano Nyekha, and ZT Slingshot also performed on the occasion.  Five fashion designers from Nagaland, Asa Movi, Kenei Dzuvichu, Aso Tsurho,Vila Pojar and Vebulu Chuzho also displayed their latest creations at the show. 

The institute was established in 2015 and headquartered at Sovima Village Chümoukedima, the release added.
