Various unions voice against recent deployment of teachers

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): Several unions have voiced against the recent deployment of teachers under the  School Education Department. The unions have affirmed not to accept the joining report of the recently recruited and regularized teachers.

ZSUN
The emergency Presidential council of Zeliangrong Students’ Union (ZSUN) which was held on the 25th July 2011 at Jalukie town has obstinately resolved not to accept deployment of Primary teachers in Peren district, it stated. The union categorically rejects such plan since it is in opposition to Clause IV of the State Government’s order dated 10 January 2010 Order No. EDS (A)-5/2002 (Pt) wherein it was mentioned that appointment to the post of teachers shall be done district-wise and candidates for the same will be selected from the district itself and that no post shall be transferred to other district along with incumbent, a press note signed by Penam Zeliang, President ZSUN confirmed.  ZSUN therefore urge the concerned department and authority to stick with government’s order and cancel the recent deployment of teachers at the earliest, it further stated.

CASU
Chare Area Student Union (CASU) directed DIS’s, headmaster ,head of institute teacher in-charge, VC’s, VCC’s chairman, school managing board  to restraint from recommending any teachers of both GT’s and PT’s under chare area jurisdiction . The CASU in a press statement issued by its president Ithrongse Sangtam and Information Secretary Nohochem Sangtam directed the mentioned authorities to do away with the recommendation of any teachers under chare jurisdiction till further notice. Failing to comply with the directives shall be dealt with the release added.

CCSU
The Confederation of Chang Students' Union (CCSU) has extended support to the ENSF resenting to retention and regularization of Graduate and Primary Teachers by the Department of School Education. In a press release, C. Yentin Chang, Vice President (CCSU) asserted that practically there is no GPS Timlak Agri Farm, GPS Helipong 'B' and GPS Noksen to Mokokchung Road under DIS Tuensang as mentioned in Nagaland Post on 21st July 2011. Therefore, the CCSU in consonant with the ENSF's notification has directed to all the Village Education Committee, Village Councils and Students' Union within the Chang jurisdiction not to entertain and accept the joining report of the recently recruited and regularized teachers.

PVSU
The Pangti village students’ union (PVSU) has extended its support to organization that had voiced their opinion against and regularization of government primary teachers under DEO and DIS Wokha. Chumbenthung R. Jami, General Secretary PVSU in a press release requested the VEC and teacher in charge of GPS Pangti to regret the joining report if the appointed teachers and also cautioned the authority not to recommend the candidature of any non Lotha candidate under Government Primary School Pangti. It added that deployment of non Lotha Teacher under its jurisdiction would never serve the purpose as it would only hamper the future of the children.
