Mon, February 25 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS along with ADC Aboi, Anden Konyak and EAC Mon, Ilika Zhimomi carried out an inspection tour of the ongoing Census Phase II exercise in Aboi Circle on February 22. The DC had a meeting with the enumerators and supervisors and the public leaders at Aboi Hq and Aopao Village.
The DC and his team went for house to house verification both in Aboi as well as in Aopao Village. On February 25, the DC along with ADC Mon, Sarah R. Ritse visited a few households in Mon Town to verify and cross check already filled in household schedules. The DC will also be inspecting Anjangyang Circle on February 24. The DC has directed all Charge Officers in the District to take immediate corrective measures basing on the anomalies detected during the inspection tours.
Census Observer, Hushili Sema, IAS, Secretary, Women Development Department, Nagaland visited Mon and tour the Sub-Divisions and many villages of the district from February 22 to 24, for inspection of census operation in the district. She was accompanied by the respective Charge officers, Supervisors and Enumerators and visited house to house verification. On 22nd she visited Tizit ADC Headquarter, Lapalampong, Sangsa, and Ngangtan village. Later on 23rd she visited Aboi ADC Headquarter, Langmeang, Nganching, Mon Sadar, Leangnyu, Wakching, Shiyong, Tanhai, Wanching village respectively. The next day she visited the Longwa village which is situated in the international boundary of Myanmar under Phomching Sub-Division. During her visit she held public meeting and interacted with the respondents and the villagers and also checked the already filled in Household schedules.
