Chessore Area GB’s Association holds 36th general session
Shamator, January 10 (MExN): The 36th general session of Chessore Area GB’s Association was held at Y Anner village, Shamator on January 10 under the theme ‘Kingdom is the Rock of Foundation’ with Richard Yimto, Rtd IPS & IGP as chief guest.
A DIPR report stated that in his address, Yimto thanked all the GBs for “keeping the tradition alive, preserving the legacies of our beautiful forefathers’ administration system, our culture and as a guardian of the village.”
Referring to the theme, he exhorted that “the village chief should know God and with His guidance, the village chief should discharge his duties with just and truth bringing closer to its citizens reaching peacefully to the neighbouring villages and communities.”
Earlier, Short speeches were delivered by Kiumukam, President Shamator Area GB'S Association and Lakiumong, President Yimkhiung GB'S Association. The program was chaired by the General, Secretary of the association, Ramji and invocation by Pentsu, Pastor, Y. Anner village Baptist Church. The welcome address was proposed by K. Yimtokiu Hd. GB, Y. Anner Village, while the keynote address was pronounced by S. Tochimong President CAGBA. Special number by Y. Anner Church Choir and folk song by Chessore village GBs were the highlights of the program.
The programme culminated with vote of thanks by R Mukam VP CAGBsA and benediction by Women pastor Y Anner Baptist Church, Makila.
