Village Guards in Nagaland fighting COVID-19 24x7

Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): Along with the many frontliners, the Village Guards in Nagaland have been on COVID-19 duty. 

The Village Guards' Association of Nagaland (VGAN) on Thursday in a press release issued by its President Kurithi said that “Village Guards of Nagaland are performing duty round the clock (24x7) under the direction and guidance of our officers.”

The Association asserted that the Village Guards are giving their best service in the process of protecting the land from COVID-19 pandemic by performing their duty in the State, Inter-State borders and International Borders.

Some of the places where the VGs are actively on duty are: India-Myanmar International borders in Reguri VG Post and Avakhung VG Post under Phek; Longkok VG Post and Langnok VG Post under Longleng; Longwa VG Post, Mon; New Pangsha under Noklak; Jaboka Post, Mon, Nagaland-Assam Border; Shamnyuching VG Post, Longleng, Nagaland-Assam Border; Loakho VG Post, Mon, Nagaland-Arunachal Pradesh Border; Nokyan VG Post, Mon, Nagaland-Arunachal Pradesh Border; Kisetong VG post, Kiphire; Pongro VG Post, Kiphire; Mimi VG Post, Kiphire; Singphan VG Post, Mon; Chang Area, VG Post, Tuensang; Shamator VG Post, Tuensang;
