Vintage Chord band from Wokha has released a cover of the song “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, based on the version by Guns N’ Roses on March 11, 2026 at Wokha. The song was featured on the band’s 1991 studio album Use Your Illusion II and was released as the second single from that album in 1992.
Formed in early 2002, Vintage Chord initially started with four members. The band currently includes Arhomo Humtsoe on vocal, Nzanthung Humtsoe on guitar, Chipethung Huntsoe on drums and Phyombemo Tungoe as the bassist.
The members were inspired by bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden. After making music together for about a decade, the band faded from the scene and many assumed it was just another “hobby band”.
However, the musicians from Wokha made a surprise comeback in August 2021 after more than ten years with the release of their single “I Am Free”. They followed it up with their second single “Raise” in July 2022 and later released “Fly High Again” on May 5, 2023.
