VIT-AP celebrates University day

Amaravati, June 3 (MExN): Vellore Institute of Technology – Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP) University celebrated its University day on June 3 with Raj Kumar Bonam, Vice President and Global HR Head, Bosch Global Software Technologies Pvt Ltd as chief guest and Dr Viswanathan Founder & Chancellor - VIT as guest of honour.

Speaking on this occasion, Bonam said that Bosch Global Software Technologies has a long tie with VIT-AP and would like to continue the association for long. ‘The future of automotive sector is bright and the software defined solutions will replace 40 % of the automotive parts in future. Bosch would provide opportunities in the sector soon,’ he stated. 

In his speech, Viswanathan said that about 80,000 students are studying in the four campuses of VIT, they are providing education with the best education policies and world class standards and the success of the students is the proof of this.

University Vice Chancellor Dr SV Kota Reddy Read the annual report of University and shared the progress of the university.

Students, faculty and staff were felicitated on this occasion who won 171 academic awards, 12 endowment awards, 142 faculty awards, 24 staff awards and 110 Research Scholars awards. Apart from that, 32 teachers and 17 staff who completed 5 years of service were felicitated.

Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the annual report of the university and also opened Makers Space and Engineering Clinics in Mahatma Gandhi Academic Block.
