Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü is heavyweight champion

Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii today emerged the heavyweight champion title on the second day of  Vuto Hyundai presents NagaWrestleMania-9 (King Of The Ring Series 2022) organized by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) at Hockey Ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Winning the coveted title, Pienyii pocketed a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Menuosetuo Yiese stood second position and received Rs 30,000. Atuo Tevo bagged third position and received Rs 15,000. Fourth place winner Dzieselatuo Keretsii awarded with Rs 10,000.

Chin wrestler make to quarter finals
Chin wrestler Uk Lian Thang from USA, who made to the quarter finals in the heavyweight category today, was lost to Dzieselatuo Keretsii.

Earlier, Johnny Ruangmei, Joint Chief Executive Officer, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) graced the opening ceremony as the special guest.

He welcomed the US wrestlers and conveyed his best wishes to the organisers and wrestlers.

He suggested that Naga wrestling should be patented and promoted at the international arena, like Sumo which was originally a Japanese sport but now became a global sport.
 
King Of The Ring Championship today
33 wrestlers have been qualified for King Of The Ring Championship scheduled for October 22 from 12:00 noon onwards.

The wrestlers includes; Medosatuo Paünuo, Dzieselatuo Keretsü, Menuosetuo Yiese, Kezhaseluo-o Pienyii, Neizosetuo Kire, Vaphizo Rutsa, Sukhure Domeh, Kezhavizo Thevo, Atuo Tevo, Biak Hmun Sang, Uk Lian Thang, Kedosie Nagi, Keneiselie Khawakhrie, Thejapfütuo Chüsi, Nguzü Pao, Neingusazo Ngukha, Van Ceu Hmung, Kevizhakho Suokhrie, Ketoulhou Mejura, Seyiejalie Gwirie, Rokosekho Tsükrü, Mülüsü Veswüh, Thepfuruokuo Keyho,Vishekhoto Khieya, Ruokuovituo Lese, Mhaneikholie Kuotsu, Vetsüseto Shijoh, Megovizo Visienyü, Seyiezhato Sano, Ketousielie Chalieu, Azhalhou Kire, Veshe Lala and Kevirazo Nagi.

The champion will receive Rs 1,20,000 while runner-up will get Rs 60,000, 3rd position- Rs 30,000 and 4th place at Rs15,000.
