Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): The Fair Price Shop Dealers Association Mokokchung District appealed the State Government and the Department of Food and Civil supplies Nagaland for “re-imbursement of transportation, loading and un-loading charges, handling commission at the earliest.” The order for the re-imbursement, according to a press note from the Association, was given as per an order of the Government dated June 2, 2016. However, even after a lapse of 15 (Fifteen) months, the Government has not paid the due amount as declared in the order, it said. The inaction on the part of the government is making it difficult to run normal business and the Association has unanimously resolved to appeal to the government to reimburse the said charges before November, it added. The Association also resolved to take its own course of action if the matter is not resolved and it will not be held responsible for any untoward incident, it further stated. It also requested the government to update the status of sugar supply in Mokokchung District and to clarify whether the supply from the center has ceased. “Kindly make known the reason for the un-availability of sugar in the District,” it maintained.
