Mon, March 27 (MExN): Wangkhao Government College hosted its annual Literary Day on March 27 under the theme ‘Celebrating Conscious Expression,’ providing a platform for students to showcase literary, artistic and performance skills.
The programme was attended by Dr. Tialila, Principal of Wangkhao Government College, as the guest of honour. The event also included a pre-launch book sale and a book-signing session for Dr. Tialila’s upcoming poetry collection.
Students participated in a range of competitions covering traditional and contemporary forms. In the traditional arts category, entries were presented in painting, photography and essay writing. The performing arts segment featured duet and dance performances.
A new addition this year, the “Solo Spotlight” monologue competition, gave students an opportunity to present dramatic performances and storytelling.
The Sustainable Fashion Show, organised jointly by the Literary Committee and the Eco Club, was among the highlights. It focused on combining design with environmental awareness, in line with the theme ‘Conscious Expression.’
The event also included departmental stalls managed by students, featuring food and exhibitions.
