
Noklak, October 12 (MExN): The Noklak District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) resolved to adopt Wansoi village under Noklak assembly constituency and Thonoknyu Village under Thonoknyu assembly constituency as DPDB villages.
The resolution was taken during the monthly DPDB meeting on October 12 at DC’s Conference Hall, Noklak under the Chairmanship of vice chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Noklak, Hiazu Meru.
As per a DIPR report, the DC urged upon the respective departments to work out and contribute in whatever possible ways they can. Meru also updated on the ongoing work at Noklak town under DPDB which has been adopted earlier.
The house resolved to conduct handicraft festival at Noklak HQ in order to promote handicrafts in the district. Since the district has various artisans, the house felt the need to organize the festival to give platform and opportunities to artisans.
For the Aspirational Block of Thonoknyu, the house approved construction of rest house at Thonoknyu HQ, soiling and metalling (carpeting) within the Thonoknyu town area, construction of road from Pang to Chiphur village and construction of irrigation at Pangking which has been recommended to all concerned departments.
The house also approved establishment of science stream at GHSS Noklak and construction of boys and girls hostels at GHS Panso has been recommended to the concerned department.
Notification/declaration of new National Highway from NH-202, Chendang/Saddle to NH-702(B), Tobu via Noklak and Pansha was deliberated and the house approved and recommended the same to the concerned department.
The house also discussed conducting one day inter-department meeting with NSACS, for which the date will be notified, the DIPR report stated.
New members of the Board, District Project Officer, Land Resources Department Lichamo Murry and SDPO, Shangthing Khaim were also introduced during the meeting.
