Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): An executive meeting of Ward-2 Council was held at Council Office of Ward-2 Dimapur on August 25. At the executive meeting, Kevi Zakiesato, Chairman of Ward-2 Council took official charge following the completion of his leave. All the executive members and office bearers were present at the meeting during which the recent exposure of the kingpins of oil adulterators by ACAUT was discussed. In this regard, the Council of Ward-2 Dimapur resolved to take stern action after the completion of administrative and judicial proceedings, by vacating those involved from the jurisdiction of the Council. The Chairman has also instructed all the members and office bearers of the Council to remain alert stating that it will not permit any individual or group to infiltrate within the jurisdiction of the Council. The Ward-2 Council lauded the police department for their strict vigil on the movement of the adulterators. Furthermore, the Council appreciates and extends full support to DNSU, NSF and NGOs for their firm stand to revoke AFSPA from Nagaland. The Council Chairman expressed that it was “high time” we all stand up and fight together for our rights.
