London-based Norwegian actress, musician, songwriter, and singer, Kari Kleiv performed at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma on Saturday. She presented some of her originals, composed over the last few days, that she was here in the state capital. One of her compositions was on Nagaland, clearly definitive of the beauty of the hills.
She also performed some popular numbers, including To be with you by Mr. Big, Don’t speak by No Doubt and Zombie by the Cranberries, the latter, which she thought was apt considering the conflict the state was associated with in the past.
Mention may be made here that the two day Warmbill Art Carnival is a VNI Productions and was also marked by a fashion show with Naga ace archer, Chekrovolu as the show stopper on the first day and Art Exhibition for two consecutive days, showcasing works of Naga artists.
The Nag artists whose works were on display include, Seyiekelie Tepa, Vikhor Tepa, Shesalu and Neikuozo.
The event was attended by Deo Nukhu, Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education and SCERT and Khriehu Liezietsu, Advisor New & Renewable Energy (NRE) & Music Task Force (MTF) among others.
