Wastes remains unattended by Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) at New market Road near NST for almost two weeks. There are similar scenes in other places in the town. Last month during the high-level consultative meeting at Chief Secretary’s office, CS, Lalthara told the meeting that government was not satisfied with the performances of the advisors to municipal and town councils. He said state government had appointed them hoping to get better performances, but they could not perform to the expectation of the people and the government. State government should ponder.
