Residents assist in pipeline repair work after damage caused by road widening along the foothill road near Niuland, July 21.
Niuland, July 21 (MExN): The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has informed that water supply to parts of Niuland Town has been disrupted following damage to pipelines caused by road widening work being carried out by the PWD (R&B) Department.
In a public notice issued by the Executive Engineer, Dimapur Rural Division, Er. Nirie-e Nisa, the department stated, “This is to inform the public that due to widening of foothill road by the PWD(R & B) Department, the pipelines have been damaged and the water supply will be disrupted till the line is repaired.”
The disruption affects three colonies in Niuland Town, the NAP station, the district hospital, and Viyito village. The department has requested the affected consumers “to bear with us for the inconvenience.”
