The football, volleyball, indoor games and athletics events of the 58th Sports Meet 2022 of the Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) was conducted successfully for two days here at Indira Gandhi Stadium.
Jakedovo Chase, deputy director, youth resources & sports, Government of Nagaland gave away prize to the winners this afternoon.
During the two day sports events, Group-D topped the medal tally with 40 medals (Gold 20, Silver 17 and Bronze 3).
Meanwhile, Naga wrestling event have been scheduled for February 8 at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground) with MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro as the special guest.
The wrestling programme will chaired by WAYO advisor Neidilhouto Sechü while WAYO president Megorüzo Chase will deliver presidential address.
WAYO wrestling secretary Zapusazo Sirie will administer oath to the wrestlers.
The prize distribution ceremony will be led by Gonei-u Sirie.
