Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): While there is a serious political dialogue between Government of India (GoI) and Working Committee (WC) of Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) to resolve the protracted Indo-Naga political issue, WC, NNPGs has condemned the attack meted out at NSCN (R) camps by Indian security forces in Naga Areas under Arunachal Pradesh. Media Cell, WC, NNPGs in a press release stated that on January 11, the Indian security forces attacked the NSCN (R) camp at Kenon village in Arunachal Pradesh. Again on January 27, the release stated that they attacked another camp at Shallang village in Meghalaya. It was reported that ambush occurred frequently which disturbed the peaceful atmosphere. Denouncing the act, NNPGs asserted that the ongoing political negotiations between GoI and the Nagas must be respected by “men in uniform.” It cautioned the forces by saying “provocative actions must be stopped immediately” for the reason that “military aggression over the decades did not solve the Naga question.”
