WCH, NCSU, CPO mourn demise of Welhipe Khape

Dimapur, October 2 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has expressed grief and loss on the demise of losing its former President WCH, Welhipe Khape who passed away at Eden Hospital Dimapur on September 30 last.
It is one of the hardest times when someone, loved and admired, goes away leaving an irreparable loss behind, a message from WCH President, Dietho Rhakho stated.


Khape was known to many as a sportsman, a hardworking entrepreneur, a good Christian, always cheerful and cultured. He was an exemplary model who rose from a humble village background to a successful man, the message described him.


He served at Delhi Nagaland House, became the President of Hotel Association, President of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (Dimapur District) and served the Western Chakhesang Hoho as its Vice President and also the President.


He was a Deacon and Chairman of Outreach Mission at CBCD till his death. On behalf of all the members of the 16 units under WCH, the President conveyed “deepest respect to our most beloved leader and friend and bid him farewell.” 


The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers Union (NCSU) Head Office Kohima, has expressed sadness on the demise. A condolence message from the NCSU stated he was a peace maker, broad minded, man of justice, hardworking and dedicated. “His contribution towards the society will remain a source of inspiration to our union,” the message stated. In his early departure, the NCSU in particular and Nagas in general have lost such a great leader which cannot be replaced, it added and conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members that the Almighty God grant solace at this hour of grief and to departed soul to rest in peace.


The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) mourned the sudden demise of its eminent member. CPO recognized the contribution and outstanding service rendered by the by leader to the Chakhesang community in many ways.


“Indeed we have lost a true gentleman, whose life exhibit with full of sincerity and dedication, a beloved father whose heart is always cheerful and cherish to remember,” stated CPO president Mikha Kenye and general secretary Veduvo Rhakho in a condolence message. CPO prayed that Almighty God grant solace and comfort to the departed soul.
