
Kohima, January 13 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Mothers' Association (WCMA) has condemned the alleged murder of a woman by her husband and accomplice on December 24, 2022 in New Reserved Colony, Kohima.
“Such dastardly act committed to the victim was beyond human comprehension. The crime was not only committed against the victim but against all womenfolk and the society, tarnishing the good image of the Naga society,” WCMA President, S Nezolu Rhakho and General Secretary, Kevezolu Tetseo stated in a condemnation note.
‘WCMA would not tolerate such crimes that endanger safety of women in the society and appealed law enforcing agencies to go deep into the vicinity of matter and thoroughly investigate and make sure that perpetrator(s) are severely punished so that such act is not repeated in the future,’ it stated. It also appealed to the law enforcing authorities not to grant bail to the culprit under any circumstances.
