WOKHA, AUGUST 2 (MExN): The Wokha District Badminton Association (WDBA) will be organizing an Open District Championship 2019 cum selection of players for the upcoming 43rd inter district open and state championship to be held at Zunheboto from September 2 to 7 at indoor badminton stadium, Wokha at GHSS Colony.
A press release informed that the tournament will be played under the categories of veterans (35+ and above, double only), Seniors-man/woman (Single/double), Juniors- boys/girls (Single/Double), Under 17 boys/girls (Single/Double), under 15 boys/girls (Single/Double), under 13-boys/girls (Single/Double), under 11-boys/girls (Single/Double), under 9-boys/girls (Single/Double).
Cash prizes will be awarded to the champions and runners-up in all the categories. Last date of submission of registration form is August 14. Form will be available at the stadium as well as hotel hornbill and restaurant. Draw of fixture will be on August 15, 4:00pm at hotel hornbill and restaurant.
