WDSC introduces Sepaktakraw in Riphyim

Wokha, May 8 (MExN): The Wokha District Sports Council organised a pre-basic and introductory program for Sepaktakraw at Don Bosco School in Riphyim village, Wokha District on May 8. 

The programme was conducted by Arhoni K. Kikon, a past Sepaktakraw champion, and Nsungbeni L. Tungoe, the Badminton coach at Khelo India Centre Wokha. As part of the initiative, sports kits were distributed to the students.

Libemo Jami, District Youth Resources Officer, explained that the purpose of the program is to uncover and nurture young talent in villages where potential often goes unnoticed. He also mentioned plans for follow-up visits to provide further training and support.
