It’s just over a month since the Flagship store located at Bank Colony, Dimapur opened, but Meat King is already receiving rave reviews. The entrepreneurs are elated to this response because they quote they have invested a lot to give better meat quality and gourmet food products for the Naga consumers every day. They state, “A lot of our customers also appreciate the fact that we open full day on Sunday. We have families coming in and shopping leisurely on Sundays. We have left no stone unturned to make our store a likeable place. We have a ‘My Nagaland’ counter where we showcase and help sell locally made products like wine, pickles, dried herbs and other food stuffs.”
Meat King has further plans of store expansions with the northeastern states as priority followed by the metros but keeping the Nagaland store at its core.
As experienced entrepreneurs, Mustaque and Romeo offer some advice to aspiring entrepreneurs. They share, “We would like, especially the young entrepreneurs, to understand that one must possess ‘Dignity of Labour’ because you should be ready with the attitude that there is nothing too big or small.” They add, “Business is all about sacrifice. When you think of doing something never give up. It’s definitely not overnight success”.
