Mokokchung, July 17 (MexN): The Women's Entrepreneur Network Nagaland (WENN) conducted a workshop for women entrepreneurs and women-led business in Mokokchun on 17 July at the DC conference Hall, Mokokchung. The purpose of conducting the workshop was to build an entrepreneurial environment, create a network and to facilitate the women entrepreneurs.
Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Tsüvisie Phoji, NCS, while addressing the participants of the workshop acknowledged the WENN for coming to Mokokchung to create a network with the entrepreneurs and to push and pull the entrepreneurs in unison. He pointed out that there are more women entrepreneurs in Kohima and Dimapur as those districts are the state capital and commercial hub. He also added that there are ample avenues for entrepreneurs in Mokokchung to grow , and justified his point by stating that Mokokchung, known to be the Land of Pioneers, also have the opportunities required and needed raw materials to start up a business.
He mentioned that no matter how small the business can be, one can look at the bigger picture and work upon expanding the business beyond Mokokchung to neighbouring districts like Zunheboto, Wokha, Tuensang, Noklak, Shamtore , Longleng and Mon.
Nengneithem Henga, General Secretary, WENN, briefed the gathering about WENN while Chairwoman, WENN, Alemjungla Jamir, shared her experience and a talk on financial literacy was given by SBI.
The session ended with Q&A session and discussion.
WENN stands for Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland and they are a network of women entrepreneurs who contributed towards a habitat that is productive to women entrepreneurship in Nagaland. Any women entrepreneurs and Women-led business can be a member of WENN.
The workshop was by attended by about 40 Women Entrepreneurs and officials of Watsü Mungdang, Mokokchung. The Workshop was supported by SBI as the knowledge partner.
