
Kohima, January 8 (MExN): The Western Angami ‘D’ Sports Association is celebrating 50th anniversary at Kiruphema village Ground, Peducha from January 12 to 15 with Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and MLA, Keneizhakho Nakhro as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
WADSA Media Incharge Asa Seyie in a press release stated that the association consists of five villages with seven village councils. There will be 700 players participating in several events like Football, Volleyball and Athletics- both men and women.
On the inaugural day, there will be Naga wrestling competition in the categories of senior and junior.
On January 14, Marathon race will be held from Chapru-National Highway-29 to main ground. The race will be flagged off by President Sechu Zubza Gazetted Officers’ Krotho, Neivikuolie Kuotsu.
The patrons for day 2 and 3 are Ganeiu Sirie, Former WADSA President and NPF General Secretary, Central HQ Kohima, and Viliehu Nguzhu, Former ASA President and Director (Retd) Soil & Water Conservation Department, Nagaland.
Sedeneikho Shosahie has been nominated as Convenor, Organising Committee. The committee has requests all participants to reach the host village by evening of January 11, 2022.
